Dr. Olaf Schröder

… founded the software company PATTERN EXPERT Borsdorf near Leipzig in 1991. As CEO he is responsible for operational management, business development, research and development, marketing and sales.
At the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Dr. Olaf Schröder studied mathematics and received his doctorate in the field of algebraic geometry. Then he spent several years as a freelance consultant and in 1991 he founded the company PATTERN EXPERT.

Since 1994 he works in his own company as a software developer using methods of pattern recognition.

Significant developments are inter alia:

• the diagnostic software PATTERN EXPERT airspect airspect and SRS for one-or two- dimensional spectroscopy,
• the character recognition program SENSDOC® for position detection in technical drawings,
• Qins-easy, an inspection system for printed circuit boards
• and so on.

Furthermore, Dr. Olaf Schröder has developed a method for evaluation of microelectrode arrays. This new, comprehensive business has been outsourced. Together with Dr. Alexandra Gramowski he founded the company NeuroProof GmbH in 2007, where he also works as managing director.
