Preprocessing
All the necessary and useful preprocessing steps are combined in PATTERN EXPERT airspect SRS.
So the user can edit the clarity and visualization of the overview image and spectra.The processing of the overview image with the known graphic tools contributes
substantially to a comfortable diagnostic analysis and cooperation in the practical everyday life. Evtl airspect srs einfügen.
The spectra can also be processed and assigned to the right places of the overview image.
Selective preprocessing steps are:
- Removal of artifact ranges at both ends of the spectra
- Smoothing / demonizing: Savitzky-Golay filter, Gauss filter
- Removal of discontinuous jumps
- Baseline correction: spline interpolation, polynomial regression
- wavelet filter: Overview screen turns into its image spectra, derived from the height of the amplitudes
- Normalization
- overview screen as a class image, generated from the spectra of related classes of each pixel
- direct comparison between overview, classes and image spectra
The user-defined settings for these preprocessing steps do not apply to individual spectra but globally to the entire Knowledge Base.
That is, you don't need to normalize each spectrum separately, but the normalization of all your spectra is done fully automatically
on the basis of your global settings.
This helps to make working with your spectra very easy. Moreover, if your final classification system is subsequently used in some
practical application for analyzing and classifying spectra of unknown samples, this avoids a dependency on unpredictable decisions
of future operators.
